mayday parade's anywhere but here, what do you think about it?
did you like it that they dropped Jason Lancaster and that there's just Derek Sanders singin?
what is your opinion on their new album?
as for me, i'm pretty chappy bout it...
i kinda like it but their duets were amazin

When Anywhere But Here came out it became pretty obvious that Jason was who wrote all the lyrics for A Lesson In Romantics
it just doesn't have that feel
I like Derek's voice and all but I could only get into the first 3 songs on the album
and the lyrics were actually pretty bad

i didn't enjoy Anywhere But Here as much as A Lesson In Romantics. ALIR was really catchy for me, in all the possible ways: the melody, the lyrics, the vocals, the guitars, the drums, everything! it was a kind of band that really caught my mind. but with the exit of Jason, there was a change in the style, but mainly in the vocals/lyrics and I think that that's what caught me the most.
so, i'm giving my own opinion when i say that A Lesson In Romantics is waaay better than Anywhere But Here.

I have to be honest, I really do not like Anywhere But Here. It has a redeeming qualities, but in comparison to A Lesson In Romantics, it falls painfully short. I'm not the kind of person who follows what members are in the band at the time, so forgive me for not using names. ALIR has just much more feeling and is written so beautifully. I'm a sucker for powerful vocals and harmonies. It set them apart from all the cookie-cutter pop-rock bands and gave them that extra flair.
But that's just me.. No judgment to those who think otherwise.

Personally, I was in love with Mayday Parade before Anywhere But Here. ABH was pretty much a huge letdown to me. It's sad that Jason's gone. The band just doesn't have the same feel to it anymore, not at all. I mean, I'm not gonna lie the new album has it's up's and it's not completely terrible but... I have no urge to whatsoever to really listen to it. I'm all for A Lesson In Romantics <3
In comparison, to me atleast... It kinda feels like Escape The Fate without Ronnie. It just doesn't feel right.
